George Young

Local artist George Young began studying art at a very young age under the guidance of his father who was an art instructor, and artist himself. Young's passion for art compelled him to receive further education in Northern California also through prominent Plein Air artists. Young, a native Californian born in Newport Beach, lived on Balboa Island as a child. For the majority of his life he resided in and around coastal locations. His love of the ocean and warm tropical climates eventually brought him to Maui where his expression of art continued to grow, and his art continues to show there. Young's oils are primarily images of tropical paradises, catching shadows, and lush tropics. Using vivid colors are a trademark of how he captures the very essence of Hawaii. Some of the most beautiful images caught on canvas is what George Young offers to those who want to cherish those memories forever. George and his wife Lynda resided on Maui's west side in Napili, for 10 years and have recently settled back in California.
Temecula is home now, with a pallet and canvas consisting of some of the beautiful vineyards and surrounding scenery as well as the California coast line.
